Mr. Krishan Rattan
Mr. Krishan Rattan is a Founding Partner at Terra-Invest.
In his life as a banker and then a financial services entrepreneur, Krishan has raised, deployed and overseen transactions worth over USD 12 Bn. Prior to Terra-Invest, Krishan set up Mount-Row, a global alternative asset manager with over USD 1.2B in AUM across the energy and infrastructure sectors. Krishan's career has spanned a variety of capital market roles across New York and London.
He has been Managing Director and Global Head of Alternative Capital Solutions group at Société Générale. This business alone delivered in excess of USD 200 million in annual revenues to the bank. Prior to Société Générale, Krishan spent time in the emerging markets business at Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse. He started his career as a banker at Morgan Stanley.
Since 2012, Krishan has been a financial services entrepreneur in Europe and Asia. In the financial services universe, Krishan is credited to have established the very first traded index tracker in Africa and created the first emerging market inflation-linked bond.
He is credited to have pioneered the optimisation of NAV based financing for asset managers. Krishan also led the creation of index linked liability reduction cost overlays to benchmark debt issuance.
Krishan maintains close connections with his alma mater, the University of California, Berkeley and serves as a member of the steering committee for the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley. He is also a member of the Greater London chapter of the YPO and an advisor to the Indo-European Business Forum.
Krishan is also a Patron of the Loomba foundation and a Trustee of Project Anthropocene, a thought-collective of leading academic thinkers focused on human impact on climate change.
